LAZY BONE

Cock-a-doodle-doo,
cocks crowed  clamorously
Sissed, he hissed like a seething sea
''so, it's a new day again''
His eyes smouldered with anger
Sulkily, he went out of his bed

It's a new day again
How he wished it could turn to night
He flopped down to relax
His friends are out
but how he loves to stay at home
What a lazy man he's

Sitting on his soulless mattress
He saw himself in a warm bed
Still in his ropy room
He visualized himself in a beautiful mansion
Though his stomach ached
He saw himself sorrounded with food

So engrossed in his thought,
He sat with kings and queens
married to the only daughter
of the president
Dinning with dignitaries
Eulogised by celebrities

The delicious aroma coming from
his neighbour's kitchen won't let him rest
His day dream has been cut off
Aching all over, licking his lips
So hungry

His head, hung like a
dying flower
Why am I so poor ?
Why am I so wretched?
Why am I so different ?
The answer is there within you, man

A lazy man sleeps soundly
and goes hungry
